This article covers your final payment, project walkthrough, and lifetime warranty. By the end of this article, you will know what to expect and when for wrapping up your repair project.

Please note – this article is primarily intended for readers who have already received a Dalinghaus foundation repair inspection, signed their project proposal, attained the correct permits and engineering specs, and have already moved forward with their repair plan.

Final Day of Dalinghaus Foundation Repair Project

The last day of your foundation repair project has finally arrived, after checking in with your Buildertrend account, speaking with the project foreman, or touring the progress for the last week to fourteen days, it’s time to wrap up.

You’ve watched as 3×3 foot excavations were dug every six feet in preparation for push pier or helical pier utilization. You may have even seen our crew utilize a hydraulic ram or torque motor to drive the steel piers to competent, load-bearing soil (acting as underground stilts to keep your home afloat clays and loams). In short, this is a complex and multifaceted foundation surgery.

The good news is all your patience, time, and money are about to pay off. Before the last day, you will receive an invoice via email for your final payment.

On the last day itself, many of our customers opt to do a walkthrough of the project, especially if we are lifting your home back to maximum practical recovery. Homeowners can marvel as we lift their home (sometimes full inches), releveling sloped floors and straightening crooked doorframes. You may choose to watch the lift process, which usually takes 2-3 hours.

Note – the final walkthrough is optional, but we highly suggest it so that you can watch as your home is stabilized, ensuring your peace of mind.

After your home has been lifted and or stabilized, in addition to polyurethane void fill, then the final walkaround can take place with your foreman. This is so you can see the improvement in your property and ask any questions you may have. The steel-pier system excavations are then refilled, the equipment loaded up, and our crew ships out.

This is when it’s time to take a deep breath, sit back, relax, and enjoy your reclaimed home. This is also a good time to start planning your remodel or patch-&-paint repair plans, as your home’s foundation is finally fixed once and for all.

Projects that require engineering and permitting will receive a final packet within 3 weeks of your closed project. This final packet includes city paperwork and the lifetime warranty. Not every project requires as much paperwork. If this happens to be you, you will receive a warranty document via email 2 weeks following the close of your project.

And, of course, (the cherry on top) all our jobs receive a heartfelt thank you postcard. We know you had different options for foundation repair contractors and we’re thankful you trusted us.

Enjoy Your Lifetime Warranty

In this article, you learned that your last payment is due prior to the final day of your foundation repair project. You also learned that the foundation lift timeframe is generally 2-3 hours and to expect your warranty paperwork 2-3 weeks after the project’s completion.
