First visit came on a Monday and we were able to catch Eric and his crew installing the last of 9 total push piers around the perimeter of the Chino Hills home's foundation.
Driving these push piers down to competent, load-bearing soils is a less difficult than helical piers, but it's no easy task.
The crew begins be excavating a 3'x3'x3' hole to expose the home's footing. The footing is prepped and made flat to accept a bracket and all of the installation equipment is attached to that singular bracket. They can then begin drtiving down the 2 7/8" diameter steel pipes until they reach competent soils or bedrock... In this case it was about 35' beneath the home's footing.
