Why did customer contact Dalinghaus Construction?
Nestor noticed some cracking and gaps forming in his patio concrete. Trying to figure out what was going on, he dug a hole next to the patio and discovered a large void created by settling soils under the concrete. The concrete was losing its support which was causing the cracks and settlement he was seeing. After doing some research online, Nestor decided to call Dalinghaus Construction for expert advice and repair recommendations.
What solutions did Dalinghaus Construction provide?
After calling Dalinghaus Construction, an appointment was scheduled for an inspection. During the inspection, our knowledgeable Project Specialist recommended injecting polyurethane under the slab to fill the void between the soil and concrete, stabilize the soils below the concrete, and attempt to lift the concrete back to level.
Once the project was approved, the job was scheduled for the polyurethane crew to be at Nestor’s property for one day. Injection holes were drilled and the crew quickly got to work with injecting the polyurethane at a rate necessary to complete what was recommended by our Project Design Specialist. The concrete patio was lifted to maximum practical recovery, and Nestor was very happy with the results. The area was no longer a trip hazard, and the stabilized soil would help to prevent further settlement in the area.
