Foundation Repair In The City of Fullerton
The City of Fullerton is Historic! It was founded in 1887 and was the center of agriculture, particularly the citrus industry. Although its soils may be great for orange trees, they don’t seem to be doing all that well for homeowners and their homes.
Like much of Orange County, Fullerton’s surface soils are made up mostly of clay loam and sandy loam. All of this organic material mixed up with clay leads to very expansive soils… and these soils go through A LOT during our droughts in Southern California. Over the course of many cycles of expansion in the presence of moisture and contraction as it dries out, foundations tend to settle or sink due to the soils beneath them becoming incompetent.
