Foundation Repair In The City of Lake Forest
Prior to incorporation in 1991, Lake Forest was known as El Toro as far back as 1863! Although a big portion of the city is covered in master-planned communities, it seems as though the area’s soils were never planned for. Like its neighbors Irvine and Mission Viejo, much of the surface soils in Lake Forest consist of expansive clay. This clay will expand in the presence of mositure and shrink as it dries out. Over time the recurring cycles of expansion and contraction can create voids, instabilities, and irregularities in the soils that will ultimately cause a home or commercial structure to settle.
