TIP OF THE DAY #106: ABOUT PIER SYSTEMS

In this tip of the day, Brian and Mark talk about the “pier” portion of the beam and pier systems.

In many cases there is a concrete pad about every 6 feet and a 4×4 connected to the girder beam. Mark talks about how he has visited many homes where the piers are not quite like that. They are supported by concrete cinder blocks, river rock, or some other crazy support. So if you have a home with a raised foundation and you think it may have settlement issues, call us. If you have not braved going under the home to see what is there, we would suggest not be going under there.

Give Dalinghaus Construction a call and we will send out one of our specialist to let you know what is going on, and give you a full proposal on how to fix it. Remember if you are in San Diego, Riverside, Orange County, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, or even Ventura areas, Dalinghaus Construction is there to assist with your foundation repair.
