Why did customer contact Dalinghaus Construction?

This homeowner called us because she knew that her home was in need of foundation work. She had already had multiple local Los Angeles Foundation Repair companies come out to evaluate her property, but hadn’t found the right contractor she wanted to work with. The quotes were ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.  The other companies had told her that the bathroom was in need of a support beam, the foundation footings were damaged, and that the crawlspace was in need of new support posts under the home. This homeowner wanted the work completed as soon as possible. She had read some of our reviews on Yelp, and wanted to work with us.

What solutions did Dalinghaus Construction provide?

Project Consultant, Armando Sandoval performed the foundation inspection of the home. He completed the inspection both inside and under the home.  Using a zip level altimeter, Armando took elevation readings throughout the entire home. There were several areas that had settled in the home, the most being a 1.2 inch drop in the master bathroom. Also, there were several failing posts in the crawlspace, as well as cracked footings. Armando presented a repair plan and proposal to stabilize the home, that consisted of 3 Push Piers, and 6 wood post replacements that we would T-Strap to the existing girder beam.

The crew excavated to the bottom of each pier location, prepped the footing, and installed the foundation bracket. They hydraulically drove each pier section to achieve load bearing strata. From there, the pier system was locked in place, and they were able to backfill and compact the area. Once the piers were installed, the crew was able to remove the old damaged wood posts in the crawlspace, and replace with new treated 4×4 wood posts and install the straps to the girder beam. Not only was this homeowner happy that the work that was done within her timeline and budget,  she was even happier about the service she received along the way. She was so happy with her experience at Dalinghaus Construction, she had us back out just a couple months later to address a problem she was experiencing on the other side of the home.  Our crew went back out and installed another 10 wood posts on the other side of her home.
