In the 1920’s and 1930’s Lake Arrowhead began growing in popularity with Hollywood stars and wealthy Los Angelinos moving into the city to escape the fast paced, craziness that was Los Angeles. These homes and estates were designed by some of Southern California’s most significant architects at the time. Unfortunately, though, these architects didn’t have a very good understanding of the soils that made up Lake Arrowhead.
