Carlos Chavez
Senior SuperintendentCarlos has been working with foundations since 2008. He began in Iowa installing everything from waterproofing & sumps to piers & tie-backs in basement walls. After migrating west to Southern California he continued working in the foundation repair industry, growing his knowledge of the issues that many homes face. He started out as a crew support in 2008, became a foreman in 2009, and then enlisted in the US Army in 2012. Continuing his career he joined the Dalinghaus family where he is currently a Field Manager. He states that everyday is a learning experience as he continues to help not only serve his country but also the families and households experiencing foundation damage.
Since joining the Dalinghaus Construction Team, Carlos has completed extensive training on product knowledge, installation procedures, and understanding the value of the services that we provide to you and your project.

Gail pursued her Masters of Business Administration degree while working full time and then moved on to work as Controller for a rapidly growing Online Advertising Company for about 7 years. Gail has been with Dalinghaus Construction since 2017. Her current roles include Finance Manager and Human Resources.

Justin Sexton
Manager of MarketingJustin joins the Dalinghaus Construction family with a significant background in logistics and project management. He joined the team in early 2017 as a foundation inspector, but quickly transitioned towards a marketing role. He now manages the marketing department and creates everything that you see from us digitally.
Before jumping into project management, Justin attended Connecticut's Sacred Heart University, as a student-athlete majoring in computer science with a minor in psychology. He was an FCS all american linebacker and began practicing his leadership skills after being named team captain.
A native Southern Californian, Justin's free time is often spent outdoors with family and friends. He has a passion for sports, especially football, and if he isn't watching a game he can usually be found working on his RC fpv quadcopters.

Mark Cook
Project Design SpecialistMark Cook is a veteran foundation repair inspector with over 11 years of industry experience and 4,000 repair projects completed. Mark learned the tools of the trade from his father, Craig Cook, a celebrated Southern California Civil Engineer in the business since 1980 and a stickler to detail. Mark learned land surveying/development and CAD at his father’s construction company from 2000 to 2010 before transitioning to foundation repair.
Mark has done it all – from small residential projects to multimillion-dollar commercial ventures involving foundation stabilization/lift. He has been featured on HG TV’s Flip or Flop, Vintage Flip, and Fuentes Family Flip. Mark understands nuance and works diligently with the customer to collaborate on the best plan for their unique construction needs.
Mark Cook holds a Bachelor of Science and currently resides in Carlsbad, CA. He is a major cinephile and SoCal pop-culture enthusiast. Mark has an affinity for craft beer and swears by Imperial IPA. When not at work, Mark can be found on the back 9, Cardiff State Beach, watching the Padres, swimming, and traveling up and down the beautiful SoCal Coast.

I grew up on a family farm in Kansas. From there I attended and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor Degree, but during that time in college I started my own construction business with emphasis on roofing.
After graduating college I continued the business and expanded into the remodel industry. Eventually I moved my family out to California to buy and flip homes, and after flipping man home's with several having foundation issues we decided to pivot our business to focus solely on foundation repair.... and that's when Dalinghaus Construction became what it is today!

Brian Dalinghaus
Co-FounderI grew up on our family farm in a small town in Northeast Kansas. On the farm I was able to learn a lot of life long skills from my mother and father that I am able to utilize in the world today. I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementry Education in 2004. I have worked in the foundation repair industry since 2005 and started as just a general laborer in the industry. I was able to learn many skills and more importantly meet many great people within this industry. Our company motto is "Never Settle" and I truly believe that no matter what your current situation may be, that you should never settle for being the status quo, never settle for mediocrity or settling with a low value of your own self worth.

Phil Laney
Project Design SpecialistPhil brings to the organization over 20 years of military defense contracting focusing on quality assurance as well as customer satisfaction. He is a highly motivated analytic thinker and very detailed oriented. He utilizes several years of training with regards to problem solving techniques to offer a viable solution for repairs. He takes much pride and ownership for the work that he does, passing this along to commercial clients as well as residential homeowners. Phil strives to be part of the project from the beginning to the completion to assure all the expectations of the homeowner’s are achieved. His background has been a great fit for Dalinghaus Construction.
Phil originally was an east coast Florida native and move out to California in 1998. Phil has been married for over 35 years to his high school sweetheart and has two children. Phil recently was blessed with his first grandchild and looks forward to the fishing and sports activities.

Seth Slater
Content ManagerSeth Slater spent his childhood in Fiji. He received his BA in English from Oregon State University. Before pursuing an MFA in Fiction at SDSU he farmed grass seed in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Seth's work has been published in literary journals and magazines including the Chicago Quarterly Review, North Carolina Quarterly, and elsewhere. He continues to write poetry and prose! After completing his MFA in Fiction Seth taught writing and Rhetoric & creative writing at SDSU.

Project SpecialistSteve started doing construction when he was 19 years old. He started out doing acoustic removal & new texturing. He did everything from hanging drywall all the way to finish textures. He finished high school and jumped into the construction field. He spent about 10 years before going back to school for massage therapy. Steve became certified and worked for a few years as a massage therapist before he realized he enjoyed building all kinds of stuff. So, he came back to the construction field!

Mark learned the tools of the trade from his father, Craig Cook, a celebrated Southern California Civil Engineer in the business since 1980 and a stickler to detail. Mark learned land surveying/development and CAD at his father’s construction company from 2000 to 2010 before transitioning to foundation repair.
Mark has done it all – from small residential projects to multimillion-dollar commercial ventures involving foundation stabilization/lift. Senior SuperintendentCarlos has been working with foundations since 2008. He began in Iowa installing everything from waterproofing & sumps to piers & tie-backs in basement walls. After migrating west to Southern California he continued working in the foundation repair industry, growing his knowledge of the issues that many homes face. He started out as a crew support in 2008, became a foreman in 2009, and then enlisted in the US Army in 2012. After graduating college I continued the business and expanded into the remodel industry. Eventually I moved my family out to California to buy and flip homes, and after flipping man home's with several having foundation issues we decided to pivot our business to focus solely on foundation repair.... and that's when Dalinghaus Construction became what it is today!

On the farm I was able to learn a lot of life long skills from my mother and father that I am able to utilize in the world today. I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementry Education in 2004. I have worked in the foundation repair industry since 2005 and started as just a general laborer in the industry. I was able to learn many skills and more importantly meet many great people within this industry. Our company motto is "Never Settle" and I truly believe that no matter what your current situation may be, that you should never settle for being the status quo, never settle for mediocrity or settling with a low value of your own self worth.

Project Design SpecialistPhil brings to the organization over 20 years of military defense contracting focusing on quality assurance as well as customer satisfaction. He takes much pride and ownership for the work that he does, passing this along to commercial clients as well as residential homeowners. Phil originally was an east coast Florida native and move out to California in 1998. Phil has been married for over 35 years to his high school sweetheart and has two children. Phil recently was blessed with his first grandchild and looks forward to the fishing and sports activities.

Senior SuperintendentCarlos has been working with foundations since 2008. He began in Iowa installing everything from waterproofing & sumps to piers & tie-backs in basement walls. After migrating west to Southern California he continued working in the foundation repair industry, growing his knowledge of the issues that many homes face. He started out as a crew support in 2008, became a foreman in 2009, and then enlisted in the US Army in 2012. Manager of MarketingJustin joins the Dalinghaus Construction family with a significant background in logistics and project management. He joined the team in early 2017 as a foundation inspector, but quickly transitioned towards a marketing role. He now manages the marketing department and creates everything that you see from us digitally.
Before jumping into project management, Justin attended Connecticut's Sacred Heart University, as a student-athlete majoring in computer science with a minor in psychology. He was an FCS all american linebacker and began practicing his leadership skills after being named team captain.
A native Southern Californian, Justin's free time is often spent outdoors with family and friends. He has a passion for sports, especially football, and if he isn't watching a game he can usually be found working on his RC fpv quadcopters.

Mark learned the tools of the trade from his father, Craig Cook, a celebrated Southern California Civil Engineer in the business since 1980 and a stickler to detail. Mark learned land surveying/development and CAD at his father’s construction company from 2000 to 2010 before transitioning to foundation repair.
Mark has done it all – from small residential projects to multimillion-dollar commercial ventures involving foundation stabilization/lift. He has been featured on HG TV’s Flip or Flop, Vintage Flip, and Fuentes Family Flip. Mark understands nuance and works diligently with the customer to collaborate on the best plan for their unique construction needs.

On the farm I was able to learn a lot of life long skills from my mother and father that I am able to utilize in the world today. I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementry Education in 2004. I have worked in the foundation repair industry since 2005 and started as just a general laborer in the industry. He started out as a crew support in 2008, became a foreman in 2009, and then enlisted in the US Army in 2012. Mark learned land surveying/development and CAD at his father’s construction company from 2000 to 2010 before transitioning to foundation repair.

Project ManagerNick started in the construction industry in 2018 as a carpenter. He learned framing, siding installation, and other finish carpentry skills in both commercial and residential settings throughout Orange County and Los Angeles County. Before construction he graduated from Norco College with an Associate's degree in Communication.

Phil Laney
Project Design SpecialistPhil brings to the organization over 20 years of military defense contracting focusing on quality assurance as well as customer satisfaction. He is a highly motivated analytic thinker and very detailed oriented. He utilizes several years of training with regards to problem solving techniques to offer a viable solution for repairs. He takes much pride and ownership for the work that he does, passing this along to commercial clients as well as residential homeowners. Phil strives to be part of the project from the beginning to the completion to assure all the expectations of the homeowner’s are achieved. His background has been a great fit for Dalinghaus Construction.
Phil originally was an east coast Florida native and move out to California in 1998. Phil has been married for over 35 years to his high school sweetheart and has two children. Phil recently was blessed with his first grandchild and looks forward to the fishing and sports activities.
Since joining the Dalinghaus Construction Team, Phil has completed extensive training on product knowledge, installation procedures, and understanding the value of the services that we provide to you and your project. Having the stigma to “Never Settle” with sub-par recommendations, repairs, or craftsmanship is part of why Phil chooses to treat his customer’s like they were one of his own family. Phil looks forward to working with you on your construction project.

Seth Slater
Content ManagerSeth Slater spent his childhood in Fiji. He received his BA in English from Oregon State University. Before pursuing an MFA in Fiction at SDSU he farmed grass seed in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Seth's work has been published in literary journals and magazines including the Chicago Quarterly Review, North Carolina Quarterly, and elsewhere. He continues to write poetry and prose! After completing his MFA in Fiction Seth taught writing and Rhetoric & creative writing at SDSU.

Project SpecialistSteve started doing construction when he was 19 years old. He started out doing acoustic removal & new texturing. He did everything from hanging drywall all the way to finish textures. He finished high school and jumped into the construction field. He spent about 10 years before going back to school for massage therapy. Steve became certified and worked for a few years as a massage therapist before he realized he enjoyed building all kinds of stuff. So, he came back to the construction field!
Steve loves seeing the before and after affect of whatever project he's a part of. He was born in Nashville, TN and moved to California in 1992 and has been here ever since!

Carlos Chavez
Senior SuperintendentCarlos has been working with foundations since 2008. He began in Iowa installing everything from waterproofing & sumps to piers & tie-backs in basement walls. After migrating west to Southern California he continued working in the foundation repair industry, growing his knowledge of the issues that many homes face. He started out as a crew support in 2008, became a foreman in 2009, and then enlisted in the US Army in 2012. Continuing his career he joined the Dalinghaus family where he is currently a Field Manager. He states that everyday is a learning experience as he continues to help not only serve his country but also the families and households experiencing foundation damage.
