What to know about polyjacking, and when it's the right call.
Polyjacking runs on controlled expansion. The crew drills coin sized holes through the sunken slab at engineered lift points, then injects a two part polyurethane resin that reacts within seconds, expanding into every corner of the void beneath the concrete. As the foam expands it first fills the empty space and densifies loose soil around it, and once the void is full, continued expansion generates the lifting force that raises the slab. Because the reaction is fast and the injections are small, the lift happens in fine increments: inject, watch the elevation, inject again, until the slab sits exactly at grade. The cured foam is rigid and water resistant, and it forms a new base under the slab in the space the original settlement left behind. Minutes after the last injection the material is at working strength, the holes are patched, and the surface returns to service.
