The challenge
This San Clemente home sits at the edge of a cliff. A crack ran across the stucco just above the footing at one corner, and the concrete stem wall below it was cracked too.

The approach
The crew broke out the concrete along the wall and dug down past the footing. At each pier location a steel bracket was bolted to the footing, and a hydraulic ram drove push pier sections down through the soil until the pier reached load bearing strata.

The result
With the piers seated, the crew lifted the foundation on them. The gap that opened under the footing shows the foundation coming up on the piers.
